The Centre for NGOs meeting space is reserved for the use of NGOs in Consultative Status with ECOSOC. Participants of meetings held in the Centre for NGOs must be in possession of a grounds pass for the Palais des Nations.
The Centre for NGOs meeting room is a semi-private meeting space in room A.563 for private meetings of up to 10 people. These meetings must be in line with the United Nations purposes and objectives, as defined in the Charter, and must be strictly non-commercial. The meeting area cannot be made available for NGOs to conduct their own organizational business or advance their own purposes and aims. The NGO Liaison Unit does not provide funding or financial support of any kind. Please visit the website of the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) at http://www.un.org/democracyfund.
We recommend that NGOs wishing to collaborate with the United Nations on various projects contact the national offices of the UN Specialized Agencies, Funds and Programmes (UNDP, UNICEF, UNEP, UNESCO, FAO, UN Women, UNAIDS, etc). The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) remains the primary body for providing orientation at a national level in your activities with the United Nations.
