This fourth edition of the “Not a Woman’s Job?” series brings together over 100 photographs, contributed by 60 Permanent Missions to the United Nations in Geneva as well as the UN Library and Archives Geneva. The exhibition pays tribute to the diverse leadership of women across regions, generations, and diplomatic roles, from peace mediators and humanitarian coordinators to foreign ministers and heads of state.

Violence in Myanmar is spiralling as the military junta increases its attacks on monasteries, schools and camps sheltering people uprooted by the civil war, a top independent human rights investigator warned on Wednesday. In an update on the grave situation in the southeast Asian nation, Special Rapporteur Tom Andrews said that more than 6,800 people have been killed since generals seized power in a coup in February 2021.

63rd Graduate Study Programme
The 63rd Graduate Study Programme will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 30 June to 11 July 2025 under the theme: “UN80: Building Our Future Together" and will focus on the implementation of the historic Pact for the Future in the year when the United Nations turns 80.
The Programme will consist of morning lectures given by representatives of the United Nations, other international organizations, civil sector, and diplomats; workshops; visits to institutions; and work on group projects in the afternoons. Students will be divided into several working groups which will research different aspects of the Pact for the Future and its annexes and explore the overall way forward at a time when the multilateral system is facing numerous challenges. This research and drafting process will be student-led, with limited support from facilitators.
This year's Graduate Study Programme is supported by the Republic and State of Geneva, the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva, and the Gulf Research Center.

The Human Rights Committee is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights by its States parties.
The Committee’s work promotes the enjoyment of civil and political rights, resulting in numerous changes of law, policy and practice. As such, it has improved the lives of individuals in all parts of the world. Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women
The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) is the body of independent experts that monitors implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. The CEDAW Committee consists of 23 experts on women's rights from around the world.
The CEDAW treaty is a tool that helps women around the world to bring about change in their daily life. In countries that have ratified the treaty, CEDAW has proved invaluable in opposing the effects of discrimination, which include violence, poverty, and lack of legal protections, along with the denial of inheritance, property rights, and access to credit.
