New Permanent Representative of Luxembourg Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva
Anne Goedert, the new Permanent Representative of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Goedert had been serving as Goodwill Ambassador for Human Rights within the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Luxembourg since 2021. She has held several high-ranking positions within this Ministry, including International Coordinator for Migration Issues from 2021 to 2023, and Coordinator of Matters Related to European Institutions and International Organizations in Luxembourg from 2012 to 2016.
Ms. Goedert served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2016 to 2021. She was also Deputy Head of Mission at the General Consulate within the Embassy of Luxembourg in Brussels from 2002 to 2007.
Ms. Goedert has a European master’s degree in human rights and democratisation, and a master’s degree in history, art and archaeology from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. She speaks Luxembourgish, French, German and English. She was born on 29 June 1974. She is married and has two children.
