NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF TUNISIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO ACTING DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Presentation of Credentials

Walid Doudech, the new Permanent Representative of Tunisia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Michael Møller, the Acting Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Doudech had been serving as Chef de Cabinet of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia since February 2014. He was Tunisia’s Ambassador to Sudan from April 2011 to October 2013. From 2003 to 2008, he was Deputy Ambassador of Tunisia to the African Union. He served as a member of the Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations in New York from 1993 to 1999.

Mr. Doudech joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia in November 1989 and worked in the General Direction for International Organizations from November 1990 to August 1993, when he joined the Permanent Mission of Tunisia to the United Nations, where he worked until December 1995.

Mr. Doudech has a degree in international law (1986) and a degree in political science (1991). He was born on 31 December 1961 in Tunisia and is married with two children.
