NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF LUXEMBOURG PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Jean Feyder, the new Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Feyder served as Director for Cooperation for Development at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs since 1998. From 1993 to 1998, he was Director for Political Affairs at the Ministry.

From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Feyder was Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to United Nations Headquarters in New York. From 1983 to 1987, he was Luxembourg's Deputy Permanent Representative to the European Communities. From 1977 to 1983, he was part of the Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the European Communities.

Mr. Feyder holds a PhD in Law, and a degree in applied economic science. He was born on 24 November 1947, and is married and has two children.
