UNDP is the leading United Nations organization fighting to end the injustice of poverty, inequality, and climate change. Working with a broad network of experts and partners in 170 countries, the agency helps nations to build integrated, lasting solutions for people and planet.

The UNDP Office in Geneva serves as the UNDP Platform for Geneva and the Geneva-based organizations and as the primary point of contact with the governments of France and Switzerland. Since October 2014, the UNDP Office in Geneva functions as integrated partnership office working across programmatic and representational functions. It identifies, builds and develops UNDP's institutional capacity to enhance strategic partnerships across a wide spectrum of partners, principally with programme and donor countries, the UN system, non-governmental and civil society organizations, the private sector, intergovernmental organizations, international finance institutions, regional banks, academia and foundations as well as partners taking part in the UN's decentralized cooperation campaign.

Key areas of work include disaster risk reduction, crisis and fragility, migration and displacement, conflict prevention and peace building, health, SDG finance, climate and forests.
