New Permanent Representative of the United States of America Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva

Todd Steggerda, the new Permanent Representative of the United States of America to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Steggerda Cordero served as Deputy Managing Partner for Strategic Development at a major international law firm.  He also formerly served as Chair of the firm’s Government Investigations Department.

Mr. Steggerda is a 1987 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering.  As a commissioned naval aviator, he subsequently served as an Advanced Jet Flight Instructor and F/A-18 Strike-Fighter Pilot.

Following his active-duty military service, Mr. Steggerda earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law and was appointed to the Order of the Coif, an honorary scholastic society.  He is married and has two adult children.
