New Permanent Representative of Seychelles Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva
Cillia Ardyna Mangroo, the new Permanent Representative of Seychelles to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Mangroo held positions as Executive Director, Minister's Secretariat, Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Trade (2022 – 2024); Principal Secretary for Commerce, Ministry of Finance, National Planning and Commerce (2016 – 2022); Director General of the Commerce Division, Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment of Seychelles (2012 – 2016); Chargé d'affaires a.i., Mission of Seychelles to the United Nations Office at Geneva and other international organizations (2012); and Commercial Attaché, Embassy of Seychelles in Brussels, Belgium (2010 – 2011). From 2006 until 2010, she also worked across several Trade Officers roles at the Ministry of Finance, Trade and Investment of Seychelles.
Ms. Mangroo has also represented Seychelles at several international negotiations, including serving as the Head of Delegation for Seychelle’s accession to the World Trade Organization (2008 – 2015) and as a Member of the Seychelles negotiating team for the Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union (2007 – 2022). She holds a master’s degree in International Commerce Law, Contracts and Dispute Resolution (obtained 2015) and a joint bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics (obtained 2006).
