New Permanent Representative of Finland Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva

Presentation of Credentials

Heidi Schroderus-Fox, the new Permanent Representative of Finland to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Schroderus-Fox had been serving as the Director of the United Nations Office of the High Representative for Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States since 2012.  She served as Head of Policy Issues for the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly from 2010 to 2011.

Ms. Schroderus-Fox served as Deputy Permanent Representative of Finland to the United Nations in New York from 2006 to 2010.  She joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1988 and has served in Finnish missions in Paris, Washington DC, Tel Aviv, Pretoria and New York. 

Ms. Schroderus-Fox has a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration.  She is also an alumni of the executive programme of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy.  She is married and has two children.
