Ciné ONU: "DESCENDANT"

On the occasion of International Day for People of African Descent, discover the film "DESCENDANT", a story of how the past & the truth are always present.

Award-winning filmmaker Margaret Brown returns to her hometown of Mobile, Alabama, to document the search for and historic discovery of The Clotilda, the last known ship to arrive in the United States, illegally carrying 110 kidnapped Africans. Community-led organizations in Africatown are working tirelessly to preserve and document the legacy of their ancestors while combating environmental issues threatening the community.
