New Permanent Representative of Mongolia Presents Credentials to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva

Presentation of Credentials

 

Davaasuren Gerelmaa, the new Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Gerelmaa had been serving as Director General of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia since November 2018. She was Deputy Director of the Department from August 2014 to November 2018. She also worked at the Department from 2007 to 2011.

Ms. Gerelmaa served at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations in New York from 2011 to 2014. She served at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 2004 to 2007. She served at the Embassy of Mongolia in Paris, France from 2000 to 2003. A career diplomat, she joined the Mongolia Foreign Service in 1998.

Ms. Gerelmaa was born in 1976 in Ulaanbaatar. She has a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the School of Foreign Service, National University of Mongolia (1998). She also attended the Ecole Nationale d’Administration, France (2000) and Victoria University, New Zealand (2001). She is married with two children.
