NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF MADAGASCAR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

Presentation of Credentials

Annick Hantanirina Andriamampianina, the new Permanent Representative of Madagascar to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Michael Møller, the Acting Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Andriamampianina was Director of International Relations and Cooperation since September 2011 at the Presidency of the Transition of Madagascar. She was Director of Public Relations and Spokesperson of the Presidency of the Transition from 2009 to 2011.

Ms. Andriamampianina started her career in 1991 as a television reporter and presenter. She worked as a counsellor on communication to the Minister of Post and Telecommunication from 1995 to 1996. She worked in the private sector after that, and also took time off from 2002 to 2006 to concentrate on her three young children.

Ms. Andriamampianina has a B.A. from the Faculty of Law, University of Antananarivo (1989 to 1992); and a post graduate degree from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration of France, Cycle International. She was born on 25 July, 1972 in Antananarivo, Madagascar. She is married with three children.
