NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF ANDORRA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Enric Tarrado Vives, the new Permanent Representative of Andorra to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Tarrado Vives served as general parliamentary councillor from 1997 to 2000, and again from 2005 to 2009. During his first appointment, he was also the Secretary of the Sindicatura, the leading organ of the Parliament. During his second appointment, he served as the President of the Parliamentary Group called “Centre Démocratique Andorran”.

Mr. Tarrado Vives holds a degree in Business from the Ecole de Commerce de Toulouse (France) and a degree in Business Management from the Ecole de Cadres de Lausanne (Switzerland). Mr. Tarrado Vives worked in the private sector during his career. He speaks three languages, Catalan, French and Spanish.

Mr. Tarrado Vives is married with two daughters.
