NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF GUINEA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG
Presentation of Credentials
Mohamed Camara, the new Permanent Representative of Guinea to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Camara had been serving since 2004 as Guinea’s Ambassador to Guinea Bissau. He was the National Director for Juridical and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2001 to 2004. He has represented Guinea in United Nations meetings and international and regional conferences.
A career lawyer, Mr. Camara served as National Director at the Organization of Public Services, Methods and Procedures from 1997 to 2001, and National Director for Reform from 1989 to 1997. He also worked at the Ministry of Public Functions and Works and the General Commission for Administrative Reform.
Mr. Camara studied at the Faculty for Administrative and Juridicial Sciences at the Gamal Abdel Nasser University in Conakry from 1972 to 1977. He was born in Boffa (Koba Tatema) in Guinea in 1951, and is married with four children.
