NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF PAKISTAN PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNITED NATIONS OFFICE AT GENEVA

Presentation of Credentials

Tehmina Janjua, the new Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Michael Møller, Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment to Geneva, Ms. Janjua had been serving as Ambassador of Pakistan to Italy since 2011. She served with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations Office at Geneva from 1996 to 2000 and from 2005 to 2009. She also served with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations in New York from 1990 to 1995.

A career diplomat, Ms. Janjua joined the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1984.

Ms. Janjua was born in 1959. She holds a Master degree in international affairs from Colombia University in New York. She is married.
