NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF MONGOLIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG
Danzannorov Boldbaatar, the new Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Boldbaatar has been since 2002 Representative of the Mongolian National Chamber of Trade and Commerce in Switzerland. Prior to that, from 2000 he was Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Mongolia to the United Nations in Geneva. From 1996 he was Director of the Department of Foreign Trade and Cooperation in Mongolia, prior to which, from 1994, he was General Director of Fortuna Corporation. From 1993 to 1994 he held the post of Specialist in the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and from 1990 to 1993, he was Trade and economy attaché at the Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. From 1978 to 1990, he was also Specialist at Compleximport Corporation of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations, and Company Director.
Mr. Boldbaatar attended the National University of Mongolia from 1974 to 1978, and, from 1984 to 1987, the Moscow Academy of Foreign Trade.
Born in 1956, Mr. Boldbaatar is married and has two children.
