女士们，先生们：

很高兴欢迎大家’出席’今晚的’盛会。 实际上，这是’在’万国宫’突出中国和云南省文化的一系列活动中的一次’特殊活动’。 在此，我感谢’中国’常驻团为日内瓦国际社会’组织了’这场绚丽多彩的演出。艺术， 非’物质’遗产，食品及电影的展示也同样令人印象深刻。


China plays an indispensable role in the United Nations – from its permanent membership on the Security Council, to its contributions to peacekeeping and international development.
China is a leader in providing peacekeepers to the United Nations, and it is a true demonstration of international solidarity. China’s operational and political engagement with the United Nations is only growing and in the coming years, we look forward to an even stronger partnership with China for peace.

Here in Geneva, we also highly appreciate the substantive contribution of China to increasing the role of international Geneva as a distinct platform for multilateral diplomacy. Going forward, Chinese leadership will be essential in addressing global challenges and promoting the fundamental values of the United Nations.

This evening, we celebrate the culture and heritage of the Yunnan province.



With its remarkable ethnic and linguistic diversity and its stunning natural landscapes, it is no surprise that it is home to both cultural and natural sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. This heritage and diversity are exemplified by the ensemble of performers here tonight – performers who bring a wealth of experience and cultural nuance to the stage.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
It is through the protection of heritage and the support for cultural diversity that intercultural understanding is built. In a globalized and interconnected world, this is more important than ever. I would like to thank the Permanent Mission of China once again for bringing this true demonstration of cultural diversity and heritage to the Palais des Nations and for sharing the magnificent culture of China with us tonight.
