NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF MONACO PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG

Presentation of Credentials

Carole Lanteri, the new Permanent Representative of Monaco to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented her credentials to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Prior to her appointment as Permanent Representative, Ms. Lanteri had been working at the Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations Office at Geneva since 2002, first as First Secretary, then as Counsellor, then as First Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative, then as Minister Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative and finally as Permanent Representative. From 1999 to 2002, she worked at the Embassy of Monaco to France, first as a secretary and then as First Secretary.

Ms. Lanteri worked at the College Charles III in Monaco as a certified professor of history and geography from 1994 to 1998. She also worked at the College from 1990 to 1994 carrying out other functions.

Ms. Lanteri has a degree from the Faculty of Law and Human Sciences in Nice, France, and also has a teaching degree. She was born on 5 August 1967 in Monaco, and is single.
