Children’s Visit to the Human Rights Council (HRC)
This event will bring together children from Geneva’s public schools, Member States, and UN officials to raise awareness about the rights of persons with disabilities and highlight the importance of creating inclusive learning environments for all children.
The children will share their reflections and drawings prepared in advance on what inclusion means to them and how learning spaces can become more welcoming for everyone. Each class will designate a representative to present their group’s messages and perspectives, shedding light on the challenges and needs of children and persons with disabilities in fully participating in community life and exercising their fundamental rights.
This exchange will offer all participants an opportunity to learn from the children, better understand their perspectives, and encourage current and future generations to value accessibility and inclusion for all.
