DIRECTOR-GENERAL OBSERVES RUSSIAN LANGUAGE DAY TO PROMOTE MULTILINGUALISM

Russian Language Day was observed today by the Director-General at an event organized by the Permanent Mission of Russia which included an exhibition of Russian books and a performance by a traditional choral group. In his statement, the Director-General stressed that multilingualism plays an important role in ensuring effectiveness and increased participation of all in the work of the United Nations.
