NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF SLOVAKIA PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF UNOG
Presentation of Credentials
Fedor Rosocha, the new Permanent Representative of Slovakia to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
Prior to his appointment to Geneva, Mr. Rosocha had been serving as Director of the Department of Economic Diplomacy at the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2008. He was Chief Counsellor at the United Nations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008 and between 2000 and 2004. He served as Second Secretary of the Permanent Mission of Slovakia to the United Nations Office at Geneva between 1996 and 2000 and as First Secretary between 2004 and 2008.
A career diplomat, Mr. Rosocha started as a Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1995, after having held various managerial positions in the private business.
Born on 3 May 1961, Mr. Rosocha received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Kosice, in 1985. He is married with two children.
