The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women today considered the combined sixth and seventh periodic reports of Luxembourg on measures taken to effectively implement the provisions of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.

Some 900 million people could suffer from disabling hearing loss by 2050, according to new estimates released by the World Health Organization on the occasion of World Hearing Day on 3 March. Currently 466 million people worldwide suffer from disabling hearing loss, 34 million of whom are children.
