Following the adoption in June by United Nations Member States of a new Political Declaration on Ending AIDS and ahead of the 2016 International AIDS Conference, taking place in Durban, South Africa, from 18 to 22 July, the UNAIDS Executive Director, Michel Sidibé, will launch a new report from UNAIDS. The report will contain further analysis of UNAIDS data, which unveil some concerning trends in HIV prevention. The Human Rights Council this afternoon concluded its thirty-second regular session, which had been suspended on 1 July, after confirming the appointment of five mandate holders and adopting the report of the session.
