The Second 2010 Session of the Group of Governmental Experts of the States parties to the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons, mandated to continue negotiations to address urgently the humanitarian impact of cluster munitions, opens its week-long meeting today at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

Experts Consider Responses in the Case of Alleged Use of Biological Weapons
The 2010 Meeting of Experts from States Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) was held in Geneva from 23 to 27 August 2010. Jose Luis Monteiro, the new Permanent Representative of Cape Verde to the United Nations Office at Geneva, today presented his credentials to Sergei Ordzhonikidze, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva.
